Dealing with Perception

People see you through the lens of their own consciousness.

When people look at you they are looking at their own projections, insecurities, unhealed wounds, and sometimes even their admiration. That means their view of you might not always be accurate.

You might be showing up as your most authentic self, especially if you’ve done the “work”. However, if someone isn’t on that same wavelength, they’ll misunderstand you. They might label it arrogance. Or maybe they try to imitate it without really getting it. Sometimes, they might resent you. Other times, they might put you on a pedestal.

None of it is about you though.

I think freedom comes when you realize you don’t have to explain yourself to be understood by people who aren’t ready or able to see you clearly. Your job isn’t to fix their perception. Just stay true to who you are.

The right people who are meant to recognize your light? They’ll see you. You’ll find your tribe.
